I'm guessing it would be missed; don't know if there are any houses on it. Do the rest yourself. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 895989You need a pyramid so you can harness all the lateral pressure and mass, to exert an even enough force to stop it. It's worth a shot. I'm thinking it needs a good base, for sure. A pyramid? Would the base of the great pyramid in Egypt be big enough? I hear there are more than one areas of leaking. |

The mountain must not have many houses on it or any too close by. 2. It still needs to be near a populated area, so that if it should come up missing, it would be noticable. 3. It needs to be made of a material that is relatively solid, not anything like a pile of sand stone or loose volcanic ash. This is a serious question, believe it or not, I could really use help on this. At 6643 feet, Clingmans Dome is the highest point in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is the highest point in Tennessee. |

(OP) User ID: 986228 United States 06/16/2010 03:39 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Okay, crazy question, I'm thinking Cerro Tia Chena, but the reason is, that I wanted some of the mountain to poke up through the water. Deep Horizon well is a little over 5000 ft deep. With settling, a big mountain would have to be over 5500 ft at the prominence to be seen peaking out of the water. Yep, I think this one will do. If anyone has any problems this may present, please let me know. |

But I fear they may declare martial law sooner if it is one taken from the USA. I'll look up Clingmans Dome, thanks a lot, actually. I'm reconsidering my choice now. Uhm, hypothetical choice. |

Clingmans Dome is hidden in a shroud of haze most of the time, so that is my current second choice. I'd like a better one if possible. |
