Quoting: Anonymous Coward 360796epic stupidity. "There are known knowns. There are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns. Anonymous Coward User ID: 992277 United States 06/09/2010 12:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Can anyone give a good straight answer as to what this is really going to mean for the Gulf? Even if the oil was completely capped off today? Please no drama answers, like "the Gulf is dead"...unless that is in fact true. I'm young and stupid and can't really wrap my mind around this. Do we even know what the long term out come will be? I've been following this from day one and it has me so bummed out. Its like someone in my family has cancer and it may be terminal, but there is a small chance its not...the not knowing is eating me alive. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 992277you're young but you're seeking knowledge... you're already increasing you're survival rate... keep asking questions AC. ...when all is said and done, IMO, the Gulf will be dead for a while.... problem is, we are in hurricane season..... more oil can/will be pushed inland, stronger currents in the ocean can/will carry the oil to the Gulf Stream along the east coast to the North Atlantic waters of Europe,...etc, etc, etc, .... keep educating yourself AC... i sure am.... |
BRIEF AND TO THE POINT
User ID: 381742 United States 06/09/2010 01:36 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Goodness gracious great balls of tar! Poor people do poor people things, and rich people do rich people things. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it! when you rob Paul to give to Peter ... ... ... you will always get Peters support! :Brieffromnativea: |

Oil had already hit Perdido Bay earlier in the week, but the boom that was supposed to protect the Perdido Pass appears to be funneling the oil into Perdido Bay. Robinson Island and Perdido Island are still protected, but there are large amounts of oil coming into the bay Cotton Bayou and Terry Cove. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 332398Thanks, but don't worry about me. It's my favorite place to vacation, and a lot of money in real estate, but not my livelihood. Think about, and pray for, all those people who are going to lose their jobs and maybe their homes, and all the helpless animals that are going to die. |
