If you could generate your own energy, the government (various levels) and corporations would pretty much have no significant influence on your life.

Funny how the auto industry can't manage to produce an internal combustion engine that gets over thirty-five miles per gallon. We're still using technology in our cars that is basically a hundred years old. Yet, we manage to put men upon the moon and get babies from a spoon and travel beneath the waves.
