***Plastic bottle Yard/Mailbox bombs***
Just got this email, a little dramatic, but the danger IS real.
--------------
A warning that's real — regrettably.

Be sure to read the snopes page and then click on the video on that web page. Better to be safe than sorry!

This is important for your safety.

Be sure to watch the video at the bottom of the page!
Click on the Snopes web page below and watch the video.

PLEASE, Pay attention to this.

1. a plastic bottle with a cap.

2. a little Drano.

3. a little water.

4. a small piece of foil.

5. Disturb it by moving it; and BOOM!!

6. No fingers left and other serious effects to your face, eyes, etc..

People are finding these bombs in mailboxes and in
their yards, just waiting for you to pick it up intending to put it in the trash. But, you'll never make it!!! It takes about 30 seconds to blow after you move the thing.

See "SNOPES" below..... This happened a few days
ago...April 27, 2010, as a matter of fact.

Great post, Lisa (!)
ty
We get the powers over us that we've earned collectively. Humanity, as a whole, is self-interested, shallow, ignorant, violent and immoral; small wonder, therefore, that our leaders (secret or otherwise) reflect that. You want better leaders, become better people.

The kids in my neighborhood actually went on these "macgever" bombs kick about 10 years ago. They are very dangerous...especially to smaller children who ride their bikes up and down the sidewalks where the mail box bombs go off. One of the neighbor kids almost got hit by one.

Re: ***Plastic bottle Yard/Mailbox bombs***
You're welcome.

My son tried them out a few years ago too, when he heard about them. Of course we monitored (& assisted) him and did it in a safe place. WOW do they make a hell of boom for such relatively small things.

It was an awesome experiment, but nothing anyone should do unsupervised or who doesn't have some basic science/chem knowledge.

Just another example of something that, in the wrong hands, can be used for "evil".
