If the asumption is correct that the change was made in the time of the Babylonian captivity then we have a problem as to when Christ died as the Passover Lamb,500 years later.

The Jews have been following the same calendar before and since Jerusalem was sacked in 70AD.

Therefore be wary of assumptions concerning time.
