I lived at my gramzys house and she had a large collection of old dolls and old wound clocks in ever room. She lived out in the middle of the country and it was very quiet and very dark at night.

The only light was the light of the moon glowing in the windows revealing shadowed faces of never blinking dolls. The eye seemed to follow you no matter were you moved to. The hypnotic tics of each clock seemed to be spread hours apart even though they happened every second. For years I couldnt sleep until the early sun rise. For the Dolls were always watching. The clocks were always ticking.
