What will happen to the weather? The fresh water in our rivers flows into the sea. Will it even be ABLE to evaporate if it's covered with oil? If it does, will the rain be oily?
What will heavy, widespread oil DO to the waves, currents, and oxygen in the oceans? Any one with any ideas on any of this?
UPDATE: This post is from MAY 1st. The questions are no longer relevant since we have been discussing the answers for MONTHS now. I'm tired of folks who don't notice that giving sarcastic answers, so PLEASE go read something else and let this die.

The weather is ok.Oil will not affect your climate, only brings some awful smells. But it will heavily damage your wave and ocean's surface current(not under water current),and make these areas' oxygen decrease.

'IF'?

The 'spill' isn't getting any 'better'; and it hasn't since 4/20/10.

There is no real plan to deal with it, other than 'relief' wells which everyone outside of BP and DC says will be an abject failure.

Then, they will say: "We have no choice but to nuke it."

News Flash: It is only getting worse and will continue to get worse as they HIDE the oil and chemicals under the water with their liberal use of Corexit; another chemical concoction.

It will eventually (before December) spread out into the Atlantic where the currents will, as the jetstream does with air, spread it to and fro, killing all sealife that comes in contact.

NEVER.... in recorded history has there been a disaster of this magnitude. It is just that the Govt and the Media is intentionally downplaying the horror. As it spreads to Central and South America, destroys the Caribbean, and hits the Mediterranean finally the public will begin to comprehend what's really happening.

OR, there could be, any day, a literal cave in of the floor resulting in a giant explosion as millions of gallons of water is instantly turned to hot steam and propelled out of the Gulf and Florida and Louisiana and East Texas and Alabama and Mississippi (not the entire states, but perhaps 10 or 20 miles inland) is engulfed. Then people will awaken to the horror.

This could conceivably wipe out life on this planet.

The pressure and volume (if we are to believe BP's cameras) clearly have not decreased in the last 2.5 months since this first erupted.
If this were a normal well, by now, if not played out and finished spewing, at least the volume of oil and chemicals released would be decreasing, noticably. Were that the case, we could at least assume, 'Yes, it's the worst release of oil into the environment in history, but it will be over soon.' But that it keeps billowing out proves this is not a normal well. Ditto the red colour of the oil/chemical mix.
Rabbi Ovadia Yosef:

"The goyim were born only to serve us Jews. Without that, they have no place in the world - only to serve the people of Israel. Why are gentiles needed? They will work, they will plow, they will reap. We will sit like an effendi (a lord or master) and eat.

That is why gentiles were created”

Most coastal fresh water aquifers can be infiltrated with sea water under the right conditions. So yes, fresh water taken from the ground is at risk.

The oil spill is already bad, the new world order is about to (officially) start for all of us, and we are all basically fucked if we don't do anything about it NOW.
