States joining Illegal Alien arrest bandwagon are simply helping usher in a National ID card for all of us. I'm surprised this hasn't happened sooner. TPTB were just waiting for the people to support such legislation from a state by state basis (intended perception: it's a grassroots movement) and then as each state comes on board, the Fed will say:

1. States will find that it is very expensive to house illegals while the Fed waits them out.

[The people of the states will get pissed when they are picking up the tab to house the illegals while the the Fed does nothing. And, the state can't export them without Fed approval, so the cost $$$ mounts up.]

2. Feds and liberals will cry - It is discriminatory to single out foreign-looking people.

[And most people are so brainwashed, they will agree.]

3. Since most of the public want illegals stopped, the fair and just thing (no profiling) is to make U.S. National ID's and guest worker ID's mandatory.

[Most Americans want to be fair, in fact, overly fair, so they will agree that a National ID needs to be enacted -- they will beg for it!]

4. Most of the sheople will fall for this and we will end up carrying cards while the illegals continue to stream in but 'from the looks of things, people will have sense that things have stopped'.

[All US citizens will be ID'd and tracked and illegals will continue to stream with either no ID or a fake one.]

I hope it doesn't play out this way, but I bet it will.
