Accepting that people are different leads to racism
I've always been again ''accepting differences'' and ''accepting that people are different'' because it is a form of discrimination.

There is a subtle form of racism which involves acknwoledging that differences are fundamental and so profound as needing public recognition. This is known as essentialism, a type of determinism at the ideological core of racism. It is wrong and it should be rejected.

Re: Accepting that people are different leads to racism
If you see somebody, you can tell they are different than you.

It is one thing to go to a neighborhood as a government and offer it money because the residents in it are poor and they happen to be black. Through such a practice, you would inevitably have more black people in the program likely because of the numbers of poor black neighborhoods, but you would also be offering equal chance to poor white neighborhoods.

But, if you offered money to blacks only, that would be racist.

I completely disagree that realization of cultural difference must end in racism.

Agreed. This would imply that the government is ''white'' in a certain sense.

Racism is silly and stupid, of course, but I see no problem being a "culturalist".

I, for example, like the British "culture", which used to be based on courtesy, general goddamn' common human fucking decency, and kindness to those less fortunate than oneself.

Which is why I loathe and detest "multiculturalism".

Re: Accepting that people are different leads to racism
I don't believe that.

I think that denying people are different only causes agitation when you see similarities... In other words, don't lie to yourself.

I think that accepting that people are different and being ok with it, that prevents racism... In a sense, you're not lying to yourself.

Seeing differences is a completely subjective experience. Different people see different differences, that is the whole reality.

OP, do you believe that all human beings have the right to freedom of association?

Or, should disparate people be forced to associate, to promote "multiculturalism"?

culture is invention. You don't live by the culture of 1800 do you? Any human can adopt any culture.

look for similarities and u will find them

look for differences and u will find them.

You choose how u look at the world and others. the assholes always look for differences to create war and strife. You must challenge them with these questions. Why do you always look for differences? What is your agenda? Why is it such a need?

The fact we differ in perception only reinforces the fact that such differences exist. If one wishes to remove all variation, by what standard will you require we all conform?

Folly logic.
