I Experienced Something "Like" Deja vu Today, But It Wasn't The Same
I've experienced plenty of deja vu in the past, but today was different. Here is my story:

Today I stopped in to visit my parents (I do this at least once a week). While I was standing in the kitchen talking to my dad he opened up the basement door and pulled out a bottle of Zippo lighter fluid. As he did this I was looking down at the table and directly at a flashlight.

When this occurred I realized that we had done that exact same thing before, and that the scene was the exact same scene as before, and the words being said were the same, but it was different than deja vu because I actual consciously remembered the time before as it was only 2 weeks prior.

I was standing in the same place, looking at the same things, looking in the same direction, he grabbed the Zippo fluid at the same instance, walked away exactly the same. It was a 100% repeat of 2 weeks prior.

It wasn't just recognizing or feeling that I had been there before and done that before, but a knowing and a conscious memory of doing it and knowing that it was two totally separate instances of the exact same thing.

Now, what are the odds of that? I'm guessing somewhere like 1 in a million that you would experience the exact same thing in exactly the same way at two different spaces in time by pure random chance.

Has something similar to this ever happened to someone else around here before?

Now mind you, I am not talking about typical deja vu here, but an actual conscious knowledge that an event is an exact replication of that event in time and at two totally separate times close enough together that you are able to consciously remember the event in detail? I mean, it was spooky. It was almost like living in the movie Groundhog Day!

Re: I Experienced Something "Like" Deja vu Today, But It Wasn't The Same
A few years ago, I was driving on a narrow, two lane road that was my usual way home from work. I had traveled the same road for about six years and knew every little area well.
The road didn't have any areas where you could pull over or anything, just ditches on the side; so the areas where there may be a small space to pull over were very noticeable.
I always left work at exactly two minutes until 5 in the afternoon, so I wouldn't hit any major traffic before making it to the two lane road, so I passed the same areas at about the same time every day.
On this day, I noticed a car pulled to the side of the road. It was an older Mercedez and a man with a jacket over his shoulder, crumpled white shirt and black tie was walking around to his trunk. This was on a Friday.
The next Monday, when I reached the same spot, the SAME car with the SAME man, walking to the back of the car just like he did on Friday was right there. I freaked out. It was the strangest thing.

Then, about two months ago, my daughter called me from Ohio. We chatted a minute or two and I asked her what time it was and she said 2:30. I had to run an errand so we hung up in about 2-3 minutes.
I ran up to the drug store and I would say spent about 10-15 minutes looking for the stuff I needed to buy and headed home, which took about ten minutes .
When I got home, it was 2:35.
I called my daughter immediately and asked if she had actually looked at a clock when I asked her the time and she said yes because she had left work about 2:20 and she lives about ten minutes from work and her clock said 2:30, she was positive.

I have no idea what happened on those two occasions.

lots of the moments lately with absolute certainty I'd had already done these things earlier.........very weired freaks me out a bit, but definitely different than the "regular" de ja vu moment

Maybe we should name and define this phenomena so others don't consider it ordinary deja vu? Then it can be studied more closely...

This story is something very very very much like what I experienced, but more interactive, as I wasn't just seeing the same scene, but also experiencing everything else the same. Did you notice if everything you experienced in your vehicle was the same as well? Same sounds, etc.?

I have had this happen before and have realized that it didn't actually happen previously, but I had dreamed the situation previously and then had it happen. That is the best way I can explain my experiance. I'm not saying this is what happened to you, just giving you something to think about.

No. I know what you are talking about and I have had that happen before as well. This was not recalling a dream, this was re-living a scene or act at two different points in time.

I have always had dreams of scenes that came true and am extremely familiar with them. This was not the same - far from it.

OP, this is known in the paranormal community as deja-deja.

Its not when they change something in the Matrix, its when the Matrix skips, and you repeat what you did two weeks ago.

Yup. Been there, done that (pun intended for comic relief), many times over at this point...chuckle in time.

Interesting, OP, that you're calling for a naming for this. I'll tell ya, it'd be nice. When I've tried to relate to others instances of this I've had to spend time just edifying that it's not your normal dejavu, but is still like one...lol, but it's not. It's awkward. I know I've appeared to be fumbling around.

I suppose the only way to approach this, without even mentioning the word dejavu, is to refer to it as a timeline oddity...or some, lol, kwazy-kwap.

(Pardon my humor. I had a great night at work and I'm just tickled pink)

On a more serious note: The exciting part about this, at least for me, is that it points to us being in something that intimates new times and ways of being. New levels of awareness. The old ways are being replaced anew.

I don't know about the rest of y'all, but I've waited a long time for what's beginning.

woohoo I'm all in.

Nice, regarding your second comment. I do think it points to the so called Matrix as losing its hold, and dissolving.

Very exciting times, indeed.

I agree. I don't think the term deja vu does this experience justice. It is definitely not the same thing, though similar. It really is almost like a timeline oddity.

I mean, what would be the proper term for a moment in time that occurs exactly the same in a totally separate moment in time? That would be the proper term for it! A term that would be vague enough to confuse everybody would be a dual space-time paradox - LOL!

It's like thinking about doing something in the future then when you actually do it it seems like de ja vu. So if thats the case you create your future like the secret, Abraham/Hicks Law of attraction, and the like.
I have noticed that on some weeks radio stations play the same song at the same times during the day and if you leave work at the same time you'll be at the same place you heard it before.

The real question is did those past two weeks cease to exist after the time shift? It's a time ripple.

I hear ya'll about these deja-vu experiences... I didn't have one today, but I swear somebody or something was muckin with the timelines/days or somesuch today. It's like I lost a day (Wed) as today seemed like Thursday all day... right down to my massage therapist calling to remind me of my appt. tomorrow....i.e. Friday. HUH???? I called and left a message apolozing for having written it down wrong on my calendar, but would be there tomorrow, no prob. She returns my call an hour later apologizing for messing up. She told me she swore it was Thursday all day and that tomorrow was Friday. I have no idea where the "real" Wed went, but hopefully tomorrow I'll wake up to the "real" Thursday and the following day will be Friday... I'm gonna really be needing that massage this week! ohyeah

I'm totally thinking/feeling we're gonna be havin more of these time ripples...
We might as well get used to it as it's all part of the breaking down of all that we've ever know, thought, read, said, done, believed etc etc etc ad infinitum.

A space time ripple is ...........hard to explain in type. Basically two time sets touch through 'space' making everything exactly as it was the first 'time' around. Kinda like space/time travel, yet not.

This has happend to me 4 or 5 times. When I experience these "glitches" no matter what I'm doing at the moment, talking, thinking, doing...my mind will INSTNTLY focus, and I'll consciously remeber and say to myself, "I was once here, in this same present's..."

I'll stop and think about it; literally trying to trace back what I had done in sequence before the "first experience."

I can never seem to remember back far enough previously to draw any connections or patterns. I'm working on that though...

Need to start writing it down.

I've had what felt like time slowing noticably... Also loss of time,
