Obama adminstration declares policy of leaving Internet alone are over. Feds will start meddling immediately!

I think that anyone with half a brain realizes that the phenomenal success and growth of the Interenet is due to the fact that the US Government kept out of it. No one can ever name a successful efficient government run anything.

But the policy that let the Internet flourish is being ended by the Obama administration. Obama’s top official at the Department of Commerce, Larry Strickling has declared that the Federal Government will start mucking with things and screw them up. No doubt taxes will start and hurt businesses already reeling from the Obama adminstartion fiscal poilicies. Stricklings justification? "That was then, this is now", said Stricking.

It's all about control folks. No one in the Obama adminstration gives a shit about anyone's health - the real reason they are trying to pass a humongous health care bill is to be able to control the American people.

US government rescinds 'leave internet alone' policy

The US government’s policy of leaving the Internet alone is over, according to Obama’s top official at the Department of Commerce.

Instead, an “Internet Policy 3.0” approach will see policy discussions between government agencies, foreign governments, and key Internet constituencies, according to Assistant Secretary Larry Strickling.

Strickling referred to these roots arguing that it was “the right policy for the United States in the early stages of the Internet, and the right message to send to the rest of the world.” But, he continued, “that was then and this is now. As we at NTIA approach a wide range of Internet policy issues, we take the view that we are now in the third generation of Internet policy making.”
