Original Message "The legislation would increase the state's 98-cent tax on a pack of cigarettes by 50 cents this year and another 50 cents next year. Lawmakers are looking at an Illinois increase as the new federal 62-cent hike is set to take effect Wednesday."

As smokers across the country are furious over a 62 cent increase a pack in cigarette taxes, they don't realize that the state and local governments have yet to weigh in. Even as the prices are now we can expect to soon see the birth of the tobacco black market, and so it's not too shocking that we see the government looking to regulate and partially outlaw organic farming. So I wonder: How many over the next few years will "break the law," rebelling against the government thieves, risking fines and imprisonment for "unauthorized tobacco?"

Sounds like the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATFE) is gonna have their work cut out for them in the years to come, copying the DEA's War on Drugs for the War on Tobacco.
