[quote:Anonymous Coward 482701:MV82NzA2NDNfMTAyMTEwMDhfRjRGMDYxQTE=] I was in 3rd grade. We were let out of school early. A bunch of us went to a kid's house where the garage was full of mattresses for wrestling. After a while, we got thirsty and went in the house for a drink of water. His mother was sobbing and bawling in front of the television set. That was when it sunk in on us dim-witted urchins. After that we didn't feel like wrestling anymore and everyone drifted homeward. Most of you weren't born yet, of course; but for you older GLP'ers, what were you doing 45 years ago today?
I was a freshman in a community college, waiting for my 4:00 p.m. class, living with my parents. I remember waking my mother up from a nap. Naturally, she didn't believe me at first.
How about you?
