[quote:Anonymous Coward 83078068:MV81MTYxNjA1Xzk0ODA3NzQwX0FFMUQ5MDk4] I know these type of questions are intentionally or unintentionally used as data mining. Though I'll bite. I was young. Say 3 at the time. I remember it clearly. This is before preschool. I lived in the US with my mother at my grandmother's home. My father had taken a work transfer to Australia for two years. So I only saw him a few times when I was very young. I wanted my dad. I wanted him to be home. And I was told he is far away. I asked to see him, or for him to come home. I can remember all of the details. My mom in the bathroom brushing her teeth in the morning. I remember seeing him in Australia. The flight. My mom took me to Hawaii on the way. I remember feeding little fish in the clear water. Fed them frozen peas out of a bag. Swam right up to us. I remember being in Australia. Though I only remember one trip there. Thats my earliest memory. Asking where my father was. And being upset that nothing I did would change that he wasn't there. I felt at the time an odd sensation. A sudden new awareness it's hard to explain. But it felt like the moment I could remember. I never personally asked my dad about it. But others told me that he said it was his deepest regret in life taking a transfer to anotber country and being away from me for two years. My son is nearly 3. He seems to remember or have familiarity with things from his past. Baby toys and such. Poor kid gets night terrors sometimes. And no memory of them once he comes to. [/quote]

I was 3. Had an ear tag. I remember being held down on the hospital bed, lime green walls, and the med team shoving a black mask over my face to put me out.
They say mental illness is spawned from trauma.
