Original Message Largest hospital in northern- area ,PA. NY metropolitan area.My unit is dead. The emergency room is practically empty. We are short of staff and supplies, but that was done intentionally by administration.

A few weeks ago I was hearing stories about a second wave and know a few people who allegedly died of Covid related clots. But clots can occur in any sick patient, and to be honest, the Covid peeps I am seeing in medsurg look like they have colds on top of the usual chronic illnesses like heart and kidney failure.

Just an FYI. If there was a true pandemic, we would be slammed. Fingers crossed it stays this way.
