[quote:Anonymous Coward 79641497:MV80NTkyNDE4XzgzNjIwNDIzX0EwMTkwQTYx] [quote:Anodyne339:MV80NTkyNDE4XzgzNjIwMDg2XzJEOTVCRUI4] There are an astonishing number of people who prefer to be told what to do and what to think. Having to make their own decisions and think for themselves is a constant source of anxiety - what if they get it wrong? What if they pick the wrong course of action? What if they believe the wrong thing? What if they get in trouble for it? Having a source of "authority" make all the decisions for them is a relief. If they do what they're told, they're safe, they're part of a group doing the "right" things and don't have the constant stress of wondering what they should do - someone else is doing that hard work for them. The saddest part is most of them don't even understand why they behave the way they do. They only know that they feel better when someone stronger than them is in control.
The majority, historically, have always been happy to lick the boots of tyranny, and despise those who "upset the apple cart." Modern Leftist imbeciles are a perfect example. They despise common sense, truth, and logic, but they ADORE tyranny if it's coming from the left.
I’m trying to figure it out.
I’ve seen it first-hand with several family members on family text. They seem downright
excited
with the new restrictions placed locally, as mild as they are compared to other places. That’s the only way I can describe it accurately - there’s real energy and excitement about the new restrictions, like they can now become more fully part of the pandemic movie they’re playing in their heads.
To be clear, this isn’t about my family members. I’m using them as first-hand experience with how the minds work of those who are compliant. It’s disturbing. It’s like street theatre and they can’t wait to participate.
I’m interested in hearing what others’ experiences are with those all on-board with restrictions, and what you think is their motivation behind it. So many people are acting in ways I never thought the majority in society would act like.
