[quote:Anonymous Coward 77612401:MV80NTkyNDE4XzgzNjE1ODc4XzMzRDg1NDJB] I've not witnessed many people locally that embrace the restrictions, but have encountered the "I'm saving the world by complying and your a evil SOB for not being like me" people in droves! I wouldn't say I enjoy or even wish for this circus to continue, but as an introvert I already do some of these things so it's not really cumbersome for me. My employer has not closed a single day this year (work in the shop at an auto dealership.) They did rotating shifts for one week back in March/April, then scrapped that idea and went back to normal. So my work hasn't been impacted at all. I'm not a fan of large crowds inside enclosed spaces, so the cancellation of events and such is a null factor for me. It has been interesting after a lifetime of being forced to be social and interactive and being ostracized for not wanting to do such things, to see the tables turned and everyone being forced to isolate and distance. I'd never ostracize people like they do to me, but the irony has been delightful. [/quote]

I’m trying to figure it out.
I’ve seen it first-hand with several family members on family text. They seem downright
excited
with the new restrictions placed locally, as mild as they are compared to other places. That’s the only way I can describe it accurately - there’s real energy and excitement about the new restrictions, like they can now become more fully part of the pandemic movie they’re playing in their heads.
To be clear, this isn’t about my family members. I’m using them as first-hand experience with how the minds work of those who are compliant. It’s disturbing. It’s like street theatre and they can’t wait to participate.
I’m interested in hearing what others’ experiences are with those all on-board with restrictions, and what you think is their motivation behind it. So many people are acting in ways I never thought the majority in society would act like.
