Interesting fact: The neighborhood the protestors are in is private property, including the streets. It's a very wealthy subdivision just north of Forest Park, on the west side of Kingshighway. https://twitter.com/xshularx/status/1277398234055483393
so what whether or not YOU agree with "their tactics". are they supposed to roll over and play dead ? be nice to trespassing POS that have a well documented history on what FOLLOWS these walk-a thons ? the trespassers got the message loud and clear and left.
Whoa! Easy. You misunderstand me. I think I was pretty clear when I said it was obvious they weren't going to be intimidated. Evidently I wasn't, so let me lay it out for you. She was a complete idiot by leaving cover and exposing herself to a possible overwhelming attack by multiple assailants. The husband was waving his rifle around while also being exposed. Neither had spare magazines or body armor. At a minimum, they should have had positions of cover, spare ammo, interlocking fields of fire and the ability to retreat to better positions. So, yes, their tactics SUCKED ASS. They could have easily been overpowered, their weapons taken and could have been added to the body count. One can defend their property and lives without being complete DUMBASSES about it. I hope that clears things up for you.
Dude, not everyone is Rambo. Though it may be nice to do, what you suggested. I think they did what they could in the time that had available. Everyone is different. And, I believe you'll see more of this taking place.
Dude, you don't have to be Rambo to know that walking out into your front yard and completely exposing yourself to attack by a mob is a very, very bad idea. You could be rushed from any side and never even get a shot off. Now they have your gun, congratulations, you succeeded in arming a marxist. I am quite sure they can afford to get some basic firearms training and they should. On that note, if you have firearms, you should be constantly training. Familiarize yourself with basic tactics like what is cover, what is concealment and what is the difference between the two? These two are a prime example of why you shouldn't put off training, when the SHTF, it will be too late and you will pay the price. They are extremely lucky that they weren't attacked and disarmed. Thats the point I'm trying to make, it doesn't matter how "courageous" they were if they go up against people that really want to hurt them. To the one that gave me red karma and said I'm anti 2nd amendment, seriously??? Couldn't be further from the truth. I just believe that if you are going to carry and use firearms, you need to be trained.
***ETA***Yes, they had every right to defend their property and persons, however, they should have been much smarter in how they did it.
