[quote:Pelledan:MV80MDcxODY2XzczODEzMjkyX0YxNzZENjE4] [quote:Miggy:MV80MDcxODY2XzczODEzMTYyXzc0QTg3NDhF] I am very tired this evening but wanted to end my day with telling all of you how much you mean to me. I may be nothing to any of you but you have made me feel like someone very special. I really hope I got one of those jobs today. I know I'm old but everyone I've ever worked with seems to respect me and look up to me as I train them. They call me daily to check and make sure I'm ok. I really love those kids. I love all of you, too. I can't thank you enough for all of your kindness but more importantly your belief in me- that I will overcome and rise again to become a productive, tax-paying employee. That's all I really want- just to do right by everyone and do my best to make people happy each day. I will sleep well tonight, knowing that you have loved me. Good night. Miggy
Did you get the funds needed, Miggy? I've never been in your shoes but my parents were. I want to help. Message me if you are in need of financial help still. I can't offer you a job, tho.
I was forced to resign from a full-time job I've had the past 3 years last month after an illness (pneumonia) and excessive absenteeism due to the illness and a family member's death.
I am currently waiting for my unemployment claim to be approved while I continue job hunting every day.
Today is the last day for me to pay rent plus late charges or I am going to be evicted. I've been living paycheck to paycheck these past 3 year so I have no money saved up for such an event as this.
Does anyone know if the judges who handle these cases are sympathetic to the length of time it takes for unemployment to be approved?
I don't plan on sneaking out and not paying- in fact, I don't have anywhere to go if I did.
I've never been in this position before and was wondering if anyone has any answers?
Prayers of encouragement would be very much appreciated.
Miggy
PS. If I had anything of value I would sell it but I own very little belongings and they're not really worth anything.
