The New York Times’ Opinions page put up a poll about Christine Blasey Ford’s testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Twitter — and then had to yank it down amid outrage that it was insensitive.

“Do you find her testimony credible?” the poll tweet asked, offering users the response options “Yes,” “No” and “Unsure.”

Some people wondered why the poll was necessary and said it was inappropriate for the Times to question an alleged victim of sexual abuse.
