Have any of you cat people heard adout the parasite toxo plasmodii that's in cat poop and can only reproduce inside of a cats gut? It lives in rats and mice, causes them the be "controlled" and be eaten by the cat and thereby being able to reproduce. It's estimated that a large portion of the american population has this very parasite in their brains from their cats causing what??? Think about it Link http://news.discovery.com/animals/some-mice-are-permanently-fearless-around-cats-131003.htm Here is a general link https://www.bing.com/search?q=parasite+that+causes+mice+to+be+eaten+by+cats&go=Submit&qs=n&form=CHRDEF&pq=parasite+that+causes+mice+to+be+eaten+by+cats&sc=0-24&sp=-1&sk=&cvid=a2724ca5ffa14585be5dcf9fb9ca2da0
Yes. Just don't change the litterbox while pregnant. And mine are 100% inside cats...they don't eat vermin. Except bugs unlucky enough to make it inside.
I have a former street cat and so I probably have it. But he also kills mice who come inside when it starts to get cold outside so even indoor cats could possibly get it.
Pest control and entertainment in one! 2 of ours are from the pound (tiny kittens) and our newest is a stray (again, tiny) that somebody threw out in our neighborhood. Was leaving for work one morning and it almost got run over right in front of my driveway by a huge suburban. I got out and called to it, expected it to run from me. Instead she ran TO me, jumped in my arms and wouldn't let me put her down. Had my oldest tend her in the garage while I was gone and my husband gave the ok to get her checked out at the vet and brought into our house. Same with my cattle dog. Somebody beat the shit out of her and abandoned her and we took her in. The best behaved pup we have! True cocksuckers who would hurt an animal. 1 husband (lol) 2 kids 3 dogs (totalling 180 lbs) 3 kittehs 7 rabbits (outside in hutches) Yeah...we're gluttons for punishment. We Swiffer like mad around here!
