[quote:Tasty THC:MV8yODIyMDM2XzQ5NDkwMzgwX0FBNzNFREM3] [quote:KonspiracyKitty:MV8yODIyMDM2XzQ5NDg5MTU4XzUyRUFBOUVD] I really don't think watching death on TV or in video games can compare to the act of actually killing someone. It might actually hurt, because you have people, like the OP, who think they're prepared to do it because of what they've seen at a distance in safety, but then when the actual time comes to kill someone (or after someone is killed) the shock of the act and the pure, harsh, unmovable reality of the situation is more of a kick in the gut than it would have been had you not come into it with the belief that it'd be some casual thing like it is in a video game. TV, video games, can not prepare you for the visceral horror of the reality. And always remember, you do NOT know how you'll react in a kill-or-be-killed situation until you've been there. There are many people who find themselves unable to pull the trigger, even though they doubtless believed they could just a few minutes before. That's just my take on it, though. Dunno.
Not once have I said that I think I am able to do it because of what I've seen on tv or in movies, come on. Why do people insist on twisting words? I've been hunting, shit my first kill as an 11 year old boy I did not hesitate to pull the trigger, it's not the same thing but I know many people hesitate to pull the trigger on that buck there first time, or every time. Continue to tear me down whatever say that I couldn't do it, life or death especially against a hated enemy, it wouldn't be very hard. Who knows it could also depend on the situation after the war scenario..
I don't know what it is, but ever since the rise of ISIS/terror threats..etc,etc
I feel that I am completely desensitized when it comes to killing, all of the guns I've fired/own, all the war movies/documentaries I've watched.. I think I'm ready to fight Islam, and it won't be a problem for me to pull the trigger multiple times when this day comes. I don't feel like I will get PTSD.. I feel to strong minded and ready for something like this. Is it fucked up that in my day and age I want to see an extermination of evil and wicked? That I want to be involved with the extermination of evil and wicked? These thoughts pace my head. To the point where I want to join the Military to blast some of these freedom stripping fucks. I don't need help mentally, I need help physically.
Anyone else with me?
