I am from here. This isn't some excuse to break the so called rules.
is it under new management or owners or is it a just a case of someone complaining? I know that periodically the management in a mobilehome park we lived in would send amendments to us via registered mail to be signed. the thing was that just because you didn't sign it didn't mean you didn't have to go by it when it went into place. many times there are so many things that we the reader are not always privy to so as to make a completely informed decision. if she's in the right though...fly an even bigger flag and contact all television and radio stations in the area to garner more help in her case. regardless of what her place is tryin to pull...they're still waaay more people that would side with her flag flyin pursuit. :flag waver::flag waver::flag waver::flag waver::flag waver:
Its not under new management, this is just a case of a company changing policies. Its all a matter of a company trying to be "PC" and its a bit over the top. I don't care what kind of flag they think others may be flying. The american flag is not offensive. How many immigrants do we have to the US each and every year? They come here for solace, for peace, because they weren't free in their country, because they were oppressed, frightened, or "bullied. They come here because they cant live in their country anymore. They come here because we accept them. But this is and will always be The United States of America, and we have a flag. It is our flag. They came here, we didn't force them. This is THEIR country now. They should have a sense of pride in that. And if they are illegal... then they have no place complaining. I'm not just talking about Mexicans, its anyone, from any country that comes here and complains about this countries flag. Its ours. Its our sense of pride. It shows how we support our troops, it tells a history, for each stripe, for each star. Its our history.
you're preachin to the choir here. make sure to go to your next town/cit council meeting and voice it there. contact television and radio stations to garner support for her. absolutely nothin will be done about it here. it won't be the first flag wavin ban thread that sinks to the back pages of GLP history. :ceegar:
Yet another company that is telling someone they can't hang an American flag. Let's flood this companies email and voicemail!
La Vista, NE - For two years, red, white and blue has waved in the wind outside Amanda Busch's door.
She said her American flag was never an issue, until two weeks ago. "They said other people could be offended by it and that's why we can't have one."
Busch lives at the Pointe Apartments. She received a notice stating flags and sun shades cannot be attached or displayed to her balcony. "We should be able to be proud of where we live. Be able to support our troops by putting up a flag."
Busch feels her rights were violated when she was faced with a tough decision. Take down the flag or be evicted; the flag now hides in a garage.
