She was too far gone. I did what any loving family member would do. I made her comfortable, brought her food and water, kept her warm and safe. What else do you want?
You cat was "too far gone" because you did not intervene in a timely and appropriate manner to save her. You did only what was easiest for YOU....made the problem go away. You were told by people on this thread exactly how to prevent your cat from becoming dehydrated to the point of death. You chose to ignore them all. People even offered to pay your vet for any treatment needed. Again, you ignored them. A cat can get very sick and refuse to eat or drink from simple things like worms or fleas or various parasites which can be easily and inexpensively treated. Your cat deserved better. Don't bother with the flowers on the grave.
you sir, are an asshole OP - I'm sorry for your loss. Had a good friend just lose his Kitty at 9yo. Sucks...just like panic...jk;) :hf:
I want to put her down but it will cost $50. I frankly don't have the money. I'm unemployed, not receiving benefits and my limited savings is gone.
I was just gonna use a .22 pistol and end it for her quickly but it turns out to be a felony where I live to knowingly kill a pet animal (I think farmers are exempt). Even if considered a mercy to the animal. She's slowly starving to death in front of my eyes, seriously it's messed up.
I've tried different soft foods, pet treats. She just won't eat. She's only 9 years old.
This sucks!
