[quote:ehecatl:MV8yMjE4NDQ2XzM3NTg2MzQ2XzZEMDRDMDY0] Good work OP. I would like to see someone make a video about this sort of experiment. Test killing ants with 1)Sweet and Low (saccharine supposedly?) and 2)Equal or Nutrasweet (aspartame) 3)Boric Acid (deadly to insects) 4)Sugar (control group) Not that insect and mammal toxicity is the same, and I have no need or desire for any of the artificial crap anyhow. But to know if this is just urban legend or not. There are almost no ants where I live, or I would try such a test. [/quote]

Aspartame kills.
I have tried everything from store bought ant killer, boiling water, grits, borax and a glass. They just move and make another bed.
Stirred the ant beds up, then sprinkled with 8 - 10 packets of sweet n low. This morning they are gone. Will let you know if moved.
Last year, I killed a mouse with a little dish of aspartame.
