[quote:wabishkaeyabe 28000005:MV8yMDIyMzE4XzM0NjA2NzA5X0VDNkMxNENE] Sorry, distractions.. O.K. - I traveled east from the Porcupine Mountains with this fellow that I didn't care for. He was brusk and pushy and didn't really know what he was doing. I was a better tracker than he was, which is how we ended up following a trail to the east and a little north after one days travel. It was a fresh trail that he couldn't see until we got a little further along and there were more tracks. He didn't like me, nor did he like the fact that I could see tracks where he couldn't. There was a great deal of animosity between us as I tried to do things right and his ego wouldn't let him follow my lead. We got to a certain point where the trail became like a major thoroughfare about two feet wide that nobody could miss. It went north between two hills and up into some small mountains. It was the only trail we had found, and we had come many miles east of the cave and had been gone for about three days. As we started to follow the trail between the two hills I suddenly became aware of where we were and stopped. The other guy went ahead a little way, then looked back, calling to me to "umbe, umbe" (come on, come on). I looked up at that mountain and felt the fear of the deer people there. I said, "We can't go up there. This mountain is sacred to the deer people." I stood rooted to the spot and would not go closer. He begged, threatened, cajoled, and generally tried everything he could to get me to move. I felt there was something wrong with being there, aside from the possible invasion of a sacred area, and that we should leave. I said as much, but he was adamant that our people were counting on us to bring back meat. He kept pointing with his spear at the trail between the hills, and then, after we had argued for some twenty minutes or so, his eyes suddenly went wide with fear as he looked behind me. I just had time to register that someone was coming up behind me when everything went black. Some one had come up on me from behind and hit me in the head with a club, and killed me. As my spirit left my body, I could still see and then knew that the people who our hunters were after had invaded our country and were herding the game away from us. This memory suffices to let me know how I got my name, which I use as a handle here on GLP - wabishkaeyabe. In honor of my actions that day I was given, and in fact earned the name - whitebuck. Next - the sky world. giigowabamin [/quote]

Anyone have memories of past lives? Occasionally images will flash in my head of another time...or other times. It is usually triggered by certain people or places. It is normally just flashes, nothing significant. Recently though, it happens nonstop whenever I talk to or see this person that I have just met, or not even met, just met online in various political groups that I am in. It is weird. I almost always see him in a totally different time and not just flashes, that is just how I see him. It is pretty overwhelming & strange.
