[quote:Olgoth666:MV8xNTk3MDYxXzI2NDAzMzUzX0JEMEM4RkZB] I was just saying that a more automated/ computerized approach might lend a little towards an unbiased approach, or you get the purposeful red thumb syndrome. That is if there is a problem with people sabotaging your karma. Catching key words like swears was a example, one of many ideas. Swearing is the top way for someone to reveal themselves as a troll or satanic convert. Smart people hold their tounge and find words of more precise meaning. As the cat put it " I swear because I can't find another way to express my deeper emotions."............ Hmmm mm......... An intelligent attack is always welcome...... [/quote]

I have noticed several posters with bad Karma points... posters that I am familiar with their posting style and wondered why on Earth anyone would bad Karma
them
.
IMO, this is a potential problem with the Karma system... people using the Karma feature in place of the thread rating system. Using this as a way to voice disagreement or disapproval of a single thread or post seems to defeat the idea somehow.
Have I misunderstood how the Karma points are designed to be used...
or is it okay to
for no apparent reason?
