[quote:Anonymous Coward 1279547:MV8xMzc0NzQ3XzIyNjc0MzI5X0YxQTk1QzI3] [quote:Anonymous Coward 959838] the oly way to deal with Iran is force. They have oil money, they are not weak like egypt was
Yes exactly, unfortunately they have nobody to answer to either, so they kill and torture their own people. But who is going to use force against them? It will destabilize the whole region into World War III. It is a difficult situation. The people don't believe they have the power to overthrow their government, they tried several times and were attacked, killed, executed, imprisoned. The problem is that the people cannot get their hands on arms. Also, the average Iranians life is not as poverty stricken as people in Egypt, so they have less incentive and more to lose by risking their lives to pour into the streets by the millions. The Iranian government is much more fear based than the Egyptian one was. Mubarak was a pussy compared to the Mullahs in Iran, they are very vicious! I hope that they will be overthrown soon. Good luck people of Iran.
Iran opposition leaders Karroubi and Mousavi "disappeared"
The two leading opposition figures had been confined in their homes under an illegal “house arrest,” with no arrest warrant, summons or charge, since before 14 February, when they called for public demonstrations in solidarity with Egyptian and Tunisian pro-democracy activists.
“Mousavi and Karoubi and their wives have been disappeared; they are being held incommunicado in an unknown location, a severe breach of Iranian and international law,” stated Aaron Rhodes, a spokesperson for the Campaign.
“Given the lynch mob-like calls for their execution by numerous Iranian politicians and clerics, there is reason to be deeply concerned for their safety and well being,” he said.
