[quote:Mrs. Smith:MV8xMzQ3MjA4XzIyMTkyODE4XzNFNTIxNzlD] [quote:Anonymous Coward 1252552] I was thinking about going to a bulk food store soon. Can you use food stamps for bulk foods? [/quote] Good question. I remember reading a news story last year that Costco was going to start accepting EBT. Will have to check that out. I know there are a lot of others out there that have had to apply in this economy and since we're not the welfare types, buying in bulk, purchasing seeds etc., is the best way to make the most out of the situation and use it to become more self sufficient. My current work trade situation is coming to an end and my new one comes with housing and utilities covered but no food or cash. So, I just swallowed my pride and applied for foodstamps to hold me over until I can get some cash flow and my new garden going.
The intake worker was the one that told me when I said I was moving to a place with a garden.
Too cool!
