[quote:The Veiled Prophet 857925:MV8xMDMxNTUyXzE2MzYwNzI0X0NFN0M1ODg4] REDOUBT - ALASKA Update As of the 9th of April, the Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO) reported that the small earthquake swarm at Redoubt Volcano continues at about the same rate as yesterday (about 6-8 earthquakes every 10 minutes). Clear webcam views of Redoubt this morning show the snow-covered lava dome with typical vigourous steam and gas plumes issuing from the south side of the dome. An AVO observation and gas flight is en route to the volcano. The Aviation Colour Code remains YELLOW and the Volcano Alert Level remains ADVISORY. Redoubt is a 3108-m-high glacier-covered stratovolcano with a breached summit crater in Lake Clark National Park about 170 km SW of Anchorage. Next to Mount Spurr, Redoubt has been the most active Holocene volcano in the upper Cook Inlet.
