The Insurrection Act of 1807

Please read up on The Insurrection Act of 1807, then take a hard look at what transpired on January 6th in DC.

The Insurrection Act can be enacted during times of civil disobedience or rebellion (Capital breach) especially when constitutional rights may be obstructed (voting).This federalizes the National Guard, whom POTUS called upon. A couple of states sent their National Guard to help in DC.

Prior to invoking The Insurrection Act, POTUS is required to give an order to insurgents to disperse, (or to “Go home.”)
